| Toon 1 v 0 Bolton |
Can you imagine watching Bolton every week? Perhaps that’s why there were barely a few hundred away fans in the new away section. Dour, boring, defensive, call their style of play what you like, it always makes for an unattractive game. The onus is on us to break them down, and thankfully we managed via a Michael Owen goal on 72 mins. Guthrie retrieved the ball on the left hand corner of the Bolton box before feeding it infield for Geremi to curl in a right-footed cross. Owen ghosted behind the stationary Andy O'Brien to nod home in typical style from seven yards. That was enough for us to gain the three points. However it wasn’t plain sailing as Given has previously saved a penalty to deny Nolan after Taylor had handled in the box. A good start? 4 points from 2 games!! |
